We invite all members of our community to join us in bringing music to the streets of St. Louis as OTSL kicks off its 41st season!

What is Spring Sing!?

Now in its third year, Spring Sing! takes music out of the theater and into the community by bringing together professional singers from OTSL with hundreds of community volunteers from diverse backgrounds for an annual “spontaneous” concert at an iconic St. Louis location. The program showcases friends from across our community singing in harmony as one voice. Build new friendships and work with one of the country’s preeminent choral conductors, Opera Theatre’s Chorus Master and Head of Music Staff, Robert Ainsley. Watch a video of Opera Theatre’s first Spring Sing! event here.

Do I need to audition for Spring Sing!?

No! Whether you last sang in high school, a church choir, or in the shower this morning, everyone (ages 15 and up) is welcome to participate. Music and listening tracks are provided in advance to make the learning process fun and easy.

Why should I join?

Make new connections and new friendships through the shared experience of singing.  Not only is this chorus free, but you will also be treated as a member of the Opera Theatre company!  Participants of Spring Sing! will rehearse and perform alongside our company of acclaimed opera singers, and will be led by Opera Theatre’s Chorus Master, Maestro Robert Ainsley, whose credits include the Metropolitan Opera among many others. In addition, you will also receive the OTSL Company Discount on single tickets for the 2016 Festival Season!
